Community Program

Why Golf?

Experiences are our greatest teacher. First Tee believes in developing the ones that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our personal growth and junior golf programs, we see kids’ build self confidence, inspiring more active participation in leadership opportunities and events, community involvement, and college scholarships.

Pilot Programs Started In the Summer of 2019

Started the summer of 2019, First Tee Greater Wichita is involved in programming at the South YMCA, Andover YMCA, Newton YMCA, Youth Horizons, and Rainbows United. If you have an organization that you’d like to partner with First Tee Greater Wichita, please contact us at 316-806-0033.

We partner with youth centers like the YMCA and Boys and Girls Club to bring the program to life and introduce golf using games that are flexible to the ages and abilities of the kids involved.

What’s Provided

Our Community Program gives youth development professionals and volunteer leaders the tools to get started. Our program adapts to any setting, class time, and class size. We provide training, equipment and lesson plans. Youth leaders also have access to First Tee’s online community for additional support, resources, and connection with peers.
